Flat Warts On Corners Of Mouth And Upper Lip

Remember

Estate strange, that 2004. Usually we decide the summer destination at least four or five months before, but this year we had decided anything yet. I jumped about offers and last minute, and I found an incredibly profitable. So, almost by chance, we went to Cuba, destination Guardalavaca, Playa Pesquero (Holguin near) the south-east of the island. Air travel (charter flight Blue Panorama started with a delay of 4 hours in the morning press, to which were added another 4 hours when you arrive at Malpensa ...) was endless. We made a stopover in Varadero and then it took another hour flight to Holguin. In short, between baggage claim and transportation to the hotel we got was that night (for us it was about noon ..), and is standing by 28 hours were destroyed. Thanks to the favorable time zone we had a good night's sleep without losing the day, and we got up for lunch. The beach is fantastic, fine white sand, the sea calm because it is located within a large cove.

the beach just so 'just put the sun shade trees are

The services' hotels are exaggerated, eating and drinking at all hours ... Someone started in the early morning assault on the Barucci on the beach, filled the thermos coke and rum and left to soak in water or on the pedals. I've seen guys spend all week at the bar drinking root beer while the girls tried to get burned in the sun. Of course I come to Cuba to stay in the bar seems to me one thing ....

Palm at (almost) sunset

The thermometer marked 30 degrees day and night, every day (it was not broken in the evening there was the slightest change in temperature, hot wet basis). Every now and then raining heavily for a good half hour, then returned to the sun. The beach and the village were populated by giant crabs, the first time I saw one I was scared to death (because he was knocking on our door window ... just imagine my face when I went to see who he was and I saw a huge claw beating on the glass ...). One morning we saw a crab that lay their eggs in the water, I was excited, not something you see every day ...

clear green water to the shore and clouds coming

I tried all the cocktails with rum, daiquiri, mojito, pinacolada, cuba libre. Here you have a different taste, it seems trivial, but taste better (and lighter). No cigar though, I do not like really! In this place we had the real "AI," I respect the people we met in beach clashed a lot, but I can not say not to have profited.

Compay Andres and I, one of the many evenings spent drinking rum with music (I have a 30's showgirl look that fits the situation, or is it me?)

The first days we were used to get used to the place and climate, we just made some beautiful walks in the rocky areas of the bay after the long beach, then we started to decide on places to visit. Topping the list was to Havana but we have given: to be a part of Holguin plane only a week and it was full. What a disappointment.

Departing from Playa Pesquero beach is the rock overlooking the sea.
Every so often the strongest waves emerging from holes dug in the rock.

We went to Santiago, but the time was not very favorable (it rained a lot) so we took refuge at the Museum to drink Bacardi rum (as usual). We had lunch in a colonial house with dishes of rice and meat, fighting with the flies that invaded the dishes (I have also eaten a few).
We visited the beautiful Morro Fortress which is located on the bay of Santiago, with Luckily the sun! But then again we had to escape from the rain, and we went to a beautiful palace where there was a room with a terrace. There was a wedding reception in progress, where the bride was the most beautiful I have ever seen!

In Cuba, everybody knows dance, all . Learn to dance and dance as you learn to speak. For them it is inconceivable not know how to dance, or even worse, to hear that someone does not like! They tried to teach the three basic steps in one afternoon. They assume a sense of rhythm, coordination and balance. When they finally gave up and left me free to go back to my bed I was tired and had not learned anything.
One evening we left we went to get some boys to dance in a nightclub to an hour away. We were the only foreigners in the entire area. The place was fantastic, we could go out on the terrace that overlooked a small beach on the sea. The Latin American music I like, but it was a sight to see them dance, because there was a crazy race track. The prices in this place not for tourists, were very low (a can of beer just over a dollar, for example). We felt a little out of place, but it was fun. We got back together with the same "train" that had brought us (in the void, dark, on a wagon train to like the rides, you would not believe!).

After a long walk from Playa Pesquero, after passing through a small forest of trees, you arrive in a very secluded beach and desert.
's called Playa de amor, I wonder why??

One day we went to Baracoa, a town between the forest and mountains, where you arrive by helicopter! I was very fizzy for the trip, but when I saw the vehicle it had to go I started to worry a bit'.... but it was fantastic! We traveled with the door open for those who wanted to take pictures or shoot at an altitude of 700 meters.

I approach the means of transport that will take us in Baracoa ...

Our helicopter ....

Baracoa is a gem, and we were lucky because there was the sun all day. We went to the hotel El Castillo for a break. From there, there is a wonderful mountain views and in particular on the "iron" (for the odd shape of this mountain). We walked in the streets, where there was a lot of people sitting at tables playing dominoes. Several people made the corner stores where you buy the card with rationing, many tourists asked us things like soap and shampoo.

Baracoa, the "mountain anvil." The sky looks threatening, in fact the sun came out just who accompanied us throughout the day.

I bought everything from street vendors, even the wooden maracas, which I then played with them that they began to sing and dance in many others, all happy, so ... how hospitable they do? We felt well liked, it's a weird feeling not being able to reciprocate such hospitality.
We were invited by a farmer who has given us very good fruit and where I tasted the fruit of the cocoa (I did not like much).

In the forest, visitors to the house of a farmer

For lunch we went into the forest where they were roasting a whole pig, in a sort of Canadian made of wood and banana leaves. I'm not vegetarian, but I did a little 'hard to bear the sight, especially when I then found myself on the bench, still whole but cooked, ready to be served on plates. We got to eat in a sort of "picnic area" with tables under the trees overlooking the sea.

tall banana trees!

What incredible place! After lunch we have also brought in a canoe on the river, where an old man told us about him and the place, and rowed with the force of a little boy.

In the streets of Baracoa I found a "cinema"!

The center of Baracoa, colorful houses, vintage cars and a peaceful

lot of people on bicycles and square to play dominoes.

After this great day we returned to our helicopter, which he left the sea and made the return journey at an altitude of 1000 meters. What an unforgettable experience!
The holiday continued with sea life, making the acquaintance of the local people.
One afternoon I had the bright idea of \u200b\u200bgoing out with the catamaran ...
We were in 3, Lore, I and Two Smoking Barrels / lifeguard / manager diving or what it was. It made me cry all the time (infinite) in which he has made travel almost vertically, with Lore almost under water and I poised at the top! The attendant laughed crazy great pleasure in seeing my face, especially when he made Rasetti other catamarans! As I joke, damn you! But what made me laugh .... That is, a crazy adrenaline rush, but I do not think I'll just make it ever more!

The deep blue of the sea view from our pedalo. (In the distance the infamous catamaran!)

The days have flown by, and now is the time of departure. As long as we are still in the village we use up our precious last minute all inclusive do not get down to gulping down mojito.
not have been able to visit Havana has left a bitter taste in my mouth, but will say it will be a good reason to come back in this beautiful island that is Cuba

Beautiful sunset .....
